Muslim community busy demolishing illegal construction in the market.
Orders have been given to cut off the electricity and water supply of the illegal mosque in Chhoti Kashi Mandi of Himachal Pradesh. On the orders of Municipal Corporation (MC) Mandi, the Electricity Board and Jal Shakti Department have cut off the electricity and water connections of the illegally constructed mosque.

Meanwhile, in the mosque dispute in the state, the traders of Dharamshala’s Kotwali market have decided to keep it closed from 9 am to 12 noon today. Traders and Hindu organizations will protest against the mosque in Kotwali market.
MC Commissioner HS Rana said that there is already a provision in the Act to cut off electricity and water supply from properties declared illegal. Now the concerned departments have been asked to cut it off.
Order to demolish the mosque within 30 days
Talking about Mandi Masjid, on last Saturday, the MC Commissioner had ordered to demolish the illegal construction of the mosque within 30 days. The work of demolishing it started on the same day. MC Commissioner HS Rana has ordered to demolish the 2 floors of the 3-storey mosque which was built by encroaching on government land.
The mosque was built by occupying 186 square meters
The Muslim community has built a 3-storey mosque on Jail Road in Mandi without permission. Before independence, the old mosque here was a single-storey one, which was built on about 45 square meters. But in the last few years, the Muslim community has encroached upon 186 square meters of government land and built a mosque on 231 square meters of land.
Hindu organizations staged a fierce protest
Hindu organizations and local people staged a fierce protest in Mandi city last Saturday demanding the demolition of Mandi Mosque. Police had to use water cannon to control the protesters. During this, there was a scuffle between the police and the protesters.

On 31st August, a fight broke out between two groups in Mahli of Himachal’s capital Shimla. The accused hid in Sanjauli Mosque. Police arrested 6 accused. On 1st September, Hindu organizations and local people demonstrated outside Sanjauli Mosque. On 5th September, demonstrations were held again in Sanjauli and Chowda Maidan demanding demolition of the illegal mosque.
On the same day, local people also demonstrated in Kasumpti demanding the demolition of the illegal mosque. On September 11, violent demonstrations took place in Sanjauli-Dhali. The police had to use mild force and water cannon. After this, traders across the state kept their shops closed and Hindu organizations took out protest rallies in different cities demanding the demolition of the illegal mosque and verification of people coming from outside.
Muslim community objected to the slogan
On the other hand, in Paonta Sahib of Sirmaur, the Muslim community expressed their objection to the sloganeering done by Hindu Jagran Manch outside the mosque a few days ago and submitted a memorandum to the SDM and demanded to take cognizance in this matter.

On the other hand, CPI(M) and its frontal organizations have decided to hold a huge rally in Shimla city on 27th September. It is being said that this rally will be taken out to establish peace and mutual brotherhood. CPI(M) alleges that an environment of communal incidents and communal violence against a particular community is being created in a planned manner. This will not be tolerated.
