Inquilab Manch is preparing for an indefinite strike over the assassination of Hadi.

The demand for justice has intensified in the case of the murder of Bangladeshi leader Osman Hadi, an opponent of India and Sheikh Hasina. Inquilab Manch has given a 24-hour ultimatum to the Bangladesh government.

Abdullah Al Jaber, secretary of Inquilab Manch, said that if the government does not arrest all those involved in Hadi’s murder by this evening, an indefinite strike will be started at Shahbagh intersection from Sunday evening.

This ultimatum was issued at a rally held at Shahbagh intersection at 3 pm yesterday after Hadi’s funeral. During the rally, Inquilab Manch blocked the area for about two hours.

Jaber demanded the resignation of Home Advisor Lieutenant General (retd) Jahangir Alam Choudhary and Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor Khuda Baksh Choudhary within 24 hours.

Jaber has put forward two main demands to the government, first, the arrest of all those involved in Hadi’s murder, and second, the arrest of alleged civil-military intelligence agents associated with the Awami League.

Inquilab Manch has given a 24-hour ultimatum to the Bangladesh government to arrest Hadi’s killers.

Jaber said – the entire syndicate is behind the murder, no one will be left

Jaber asked the government, “What did you do to catch the killers of Osman Hadi?” He said that this murder is not the work of one person, but there is a whole syndicate behind it.

Jaber did not directly cast doubt on any political party, but said that no party is above suspicion.

He further said that Hadi was a problem not only for the Awami League but also for many other political parties. He warned that those who defended the killers and publicly supported them should also be brought to justice.

After Hadi’s funeral, thousands of people reached the rally at Shahbagh intersection at 3 pm on Saturday afternoon.

Claim-AThere is a conspiracy to bring Left League to power

Jaber further alleged that there was a conspiracy to disrupt the upcoming elections and bring Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League back to power.

He described Hadi as the ‘voice of the people’ and ‘a symbol of the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh’. Also appealed to the supporters to remain calm and avoid vandalism.

Hadi’s funeral took place

Lakhs of people attended Hadi’s funeral on Saturday. Hadi was buried next to the grave of Bangladesh’s national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

Earlier, funeral prayers were offered at 2:30 pm in the South Plaza of Parliament House. Meanwhile, Hadi’s brother Abu Bakr Siddiqui raised the question that how did Hadi’s killers escape after shooting him in broad daylight in the capital?

After Hadi’s funeral, a crowd of thousands of people tried to enter the Parliament. However this could not be confirmed.

Yunus said- Hadi resides in our hearts

Meanwhile, after the prayers in Parliament, interim leader Mohammad Yunus gave a speech. He said, “Lakhs of people have come here today. People are pouring into the streets like waves. People want to know about Hadi.”

He further said that Hadi, we have not come to bid farewell to you. You reside in our hearts. And forever, as long as Bangladesh exists, you will remain in the hearts of all Bangladeshis. No one can erase it.”

Indian Army on alert due to violence in Bangladesh

In protest against Hadi’s death, radicals of Inquilab Manch and Jamaat had taken out a march from Benapole to the Indian border on Friday.

He said that former PM Sheikh Hasina should be handed over to Bangladesh. Fundamentalists raised religious slogans outside Chandranath temple in Chittagong. Here the Indian Army has also become active and is keeping an eye on the situation in Bangladesh.

Eastern Command Chief Lt. General RC Tiwari visited the India-Bangladesh border on Thursday evening.

Claim- Accused Faisal Karim fled to India

Faisal Karim, the main accused in the murder of Usman Hadi, is being claimed to have fled to India. According to Bangladeshi media, accused Sibian Diu and Sanjay Chisim, who supported the killers in transportation, have revealed this in the court.

According to Bangladeshi security forces, the accused had gone to a resort with his girlfriend a day before the murder of Faisal Karim Hadi. There he told his girlfriend – something will happen tomorrow which will shake Bangladesh. Hadi’s video was also shown.

To media house and Awami League office the protesters blew up

Violence broke out at many places in Bangladesh on 18 December in protest against Hadi’s assassination.

Supporters of Osman Hadi and leaders and activists of student organizations took to the streets in several districts inside and outside Dhaka.

The protesters vandalized and set fire to the offices of the country’s largest newspapers, the Daily Star and Prothom Alo.

Additionally, the house of Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury, a former education minister in Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League government, was vandalized and set on fire.

The protesters set fire to the office of Prothom Alo on Thursday night.

A shop near the premises of Prothom Alo Newspaper office was set on fire by the protesters. After this incident, a girl was seen saving books from the shop.

December 12- Hadi was shot by bike-riding attackers.

Usman Hadi was shot in the capital Dhaka on December 12, in which he was seriously injured. He was going on a rickshaw when a bike-riding attacker shot him.

Hadi was immediately taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and was later referred to Singapore for treatment. Where he died on 18 December.

According to media reports, a few hours before the attack, Usman Hadi had shared a map of Greater Bangladesh, which included Indian areas (7 Sisters).

Hadi was going to contest independent elections from Dhaka

Hadi was the spokesperson of the Islamic organization ‘Inquilab Manch’ and was an independent candidate from Dhaka in the elections. Inquilab Manch emerged as an organization after the student movement of August 2024. It toppled the Awami League government of then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

This organization remained active in declaring Awami League a terrorist and demanding its complete destruction and safety of the youth. This organization emphasizes on protecting national independence and sovereignty. This organization played an important role in dissolving the Awami League in May 2025 and disqualifying it from the elections.
