In Nuh district of Haryana, a case has come to light of a 17 year old girl being gang-raped overnight by three youths from her own village who took her to a field and raped her. Police said on Monday that the accused forcibly dragged the girl to the nearby fields and carried out this heinous crime throughout the night.
Police registered a case and started raiding.
A senior police officer informed that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. To arrest the accused, two special police teams have been formed which are continuously conducting raids. Police claim that the accused will be arrested soon.
The game of blackmailing was going on for months
According to the complaint lodged by the victim’s father, the accused had assaulted his daughter a few months ago and started blackmailing her by making a video of it. The accused had also given a mobile phone to the girl and put pressure on her to stay in constant touch. They had threatened that if she tried to break off contact, they would make the old objectionable videos public.
Held hostage overnight on tube well
It has been alleged in the complaint that on Friday night the accused forced the girl to come out of the house by threatening her. After this they took him to a tube well and kept him hostage throughout the night. During this, the three accused raped her one by one. He released the girl at around 11 am on Saturday morning, but while leaving he threatened to kidnap her again and kill her.
FIR registered in Sadar Tawadu police station
Police said that the accused also threatened to make the video of the incident viral online, due to which the victim was extremely scared and under mental stress. On the basis of this complaint, an FIR was registered against the three youths at Sadar Tawadu police station on Saturday. Investigation revealed that the accused were acquaintances of the victim and had been keeping her in touch with her for the past several months by threatening her.
