हरिद्वार के संतों की मांग-हिंदू संदर्भों से उर्दू शब्द हटाएं: शाही-पेशवाई जैसे शब्द मुगल सल्तनत की याद दिलाते हैं

On Thursday (September 5), the Sant Samaj of Haridwar demanded that Urdu words in Hindu religious contexts be replaced with Hindi and Sanskrit words. The saints said that Urdu words like Shahi and Peshwai are reminiscent of the Mughal Sultanate.

The bath that takes place in Kumbh is also called Shahi Snan. This word is not in the tradition of Indian culture. Soon a meeting will be held with different Akhadas, in which the proposal to remove these words will be emphasized.

In fact, on 2 September, MP CM Mohan Yadav, while referring to Lord Mahakal’s procession in Ujjain, used the word ‘royal procession’ instead of ‘royal procession’. After this, the saints have raised this demand.

Akhara Parishad said- The word royal is a symbol of slavery
Mahant Ravindra Puri (Niranjani), president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, said- Words like Shahi and Peshwai are symbols of slavery. Mughal rulers used these words to show their pride. Our Hindi language originated from Sanskrit, the language of ancient Indian Sanatan culture. There is no word like Shahi in Sanskrit.
