Saira’s song ‘Bubad’ is very much liked. What would you like to say on this?

I am very happy that people are able to connect themselves with the lyrics of this song and its theme. I wrote this song from the heart and when people appreciate it, it seems that hard work was successful. I thank everyone with heart for the love that it is getting from all sides.

When you were writing this song, what thoughts were going on in your mind at that time?

There is any composer, when he makes a song, he tries to be excellent. In the year 2021, I prepared the first draft of this song. At that time, I did not know which project this song would be for. Any album, film or something. But tell me from my experience, when you make something with a mindset, that work is true and honest. The same thinking was in my mind at that time.

How to include your song wasted in the Saira film?

The ruin was not made for any film in the beginning. In 2022, I gave this song to an independent label. We were planning to release it like a pop song. The person I told this song, he was working with Mohit Suri Sir at that time. There is a music supervisor named Yash Anand, who works on several projects in the industry. He narrated this song to Mohit Sir.

Yash knew what kind of songs Mohit Sir preferred and he also understood that the feel of ruin could match with any of his scenes or situation. In 2023 I came to know that Mohit Suri Sir liked the song and decided to include it in the film Saira.

Did Mohit Suri make any changes in this song?

The music sense of Mohit Suri Sir is really unmatched. There will be very few people in this country who have such a deep understanding and passion about music. The initial version of this song had complete music, instruments and production, but Mohit sir first removed all that. He clearly said that only tell it on the guitar. He believes that if a song looks good on just an instrument such as the guitar, then understand that it has real power. According to him, we removed all the additional things and told him only with a guitar and a voice. Then went forward.

Which song of Mohit Suri, you heard that you have decided to become a composer?

I think I am not alone, our entire generation is affected by the songs of Mohit Suri’s films. I have heard many of his songs and many times I did not even know that he is from his film. My favorite composer is Gemini. The emotional depth and melody in their songs seem very close to me. But if I talk about a song that touched my heart and inspired me to become a composer, then it is then love.

When I heard that song for the first time, I just did not like the song, I joined him. Later, when it was discovered that this is Mohit Suri’s song and composed it by Mithun, I got a different attachment to this combination. I have been determined since then if I ever do something in music, I will do similar truth and simplicity. When I met Mohit Suri Sir, I told him the same, you and Mithun sir are the reason why I became a composer.

When told the family for the first time that he had to go to the industry, what was his reaction?

I am very grateful that my parents always supported me. He never stopped any restriction about my career, even when I decided to enter the industry. The struggle is a part of every journey, but the success of Saira’s ruined song has made everyone’s hard work meaningful. All are very happy.
