In his last address as PM, Sunak said, “I apologize to the party for the defeat. I also thank my wife Akshata Murthy and my two daughters. They used to light diyas at 10 Downing Street on Diwali. Britain is the best country in the world and this is because of the people of the country. Congratulations to Keir Starmer for the victory. I hope the country will develop under his leadership.”

Sunak has been the richest Prime Minister of Britain so far. According to the Sunday Times report, Sunak and Akshata’s wealth increased by Rs 1200 crore in the year 2023. Their total wealth increased to Rs 68 thousand crore. Sunak and Akshata are richer than Britain’s King Charles.

Akshata Murthy is the daughter of Narayan Murthy, the founder of IT company Infosys. Akshata has a 0.91 percent stake in Infosys. Its value is approximately Rs 4.5 thousand crores. The Labor Party had made the increase in the wealth of Sunak and his wife an important issue in the elections.
