He had a special conversation about the idea of this film, Vaani’s involvement with it and the focus of the story… Director Sonali says about ‘Sarvagun Sampanna’… ‘The film was not started with any star in mind, but with a one-liner idea. After ‘Shiddat’, Sharda Karki, creative head of Maddock Films, narrated me the story she had prepared with writer Sumit Ghildiyal, in which I found a different kind of human comedy. After this, work on the script continued for several months. The story was rewritten again and again so that humor arose from the situations and emotional balance was also maintained. One-liners only give direction, the real film is prepared in the screenplay. The story of the film completely revolves around family drama and changes in life. Sonali says that ‘One should not draw conclusions by looking at the outer layer of the film. The resemblance to an adult star is just the beginning of the story, while the entire film revolves around the changes in the life of a small town girl and family relationships. According to Sonali, Vani’s entire emphasis was on living the character… ‘Before the shooting of the film started, Vani worked on her character for about three months. During this, there were continuous script readings, workshops and detailed discussions on the character’s mentality, language, body language and behavior. Our aim was not only to make Vaani act, but to completely mold her into the world and personality of that girl, so that her character on screen looks completely natural. Rishikesh is also in the film, not just the location, Sonali also says that it is an important character in the story… ‘Rishikesh was not selected for the film only because of its beautiful location. The religious environment, social structure of the small town and family life are an important part of the story. The shooting took place in Rishikesh along with Haridwar and Dehradun, but the soul of the story resides in Rishikesh only. Focus on chemistry of relationships, aim to bring a smile on the faces of the audience. Sonali also says that ‘in family comedy, the chemistry of relationships works more than the punchline. If the audience comes out of the theater smiling after the end of the film, then that will be the biggest success of ‘Sarvagun Sampanna’. Vaani was associated with the film after the script was locked, broke her glamorous image. According to Sonali, ‘The story was narrated to Vaani only after several drafts of the script were completed. This time, different from her glamorous screen image till now, Vani will be seen in the role of a simple girl from Rishikesh who wears glasses and wears salwar-kameez. Sometimes it is challenging to break away from the set image and play a normal character.
