Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday signed a defense agreement. Under this agreement, one country will also be considered an attack on another.

According to the Saudi press agency, the two countries said in a joint statement that the agreement shows the commitment to increase the security of the two countries, establish peace in the region and the world. Defense cooperation between the two countries will also be developed under this agreement.

In this meeting held in Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh, MBS and Shahbaz Sharif discussed many different issues. The two leaders also spoke on regional and international issues.

A senior Saudi officer told the Reuters News Agency on the condition of anonymity that all kinds of military support would be done under the agreement. When asked if it was required to use Pakistan’s nuclear weapons when needed, he replied in ‘yes’.

Pakistani army chief was also present at the time of the agreement.

Shahbaz Sharif along with Pakistani Army Chief Aaseem Munir, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khwaja Asif and Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb have reached high level delegation Saudi.

An official told the Reuters that the agreement has not been against a particular country or incident, but is an official form of long -lasting cooperation between the two countries.
