Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta had written the script of ‘Kaabil 2’. Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik Roshan liked this script. Both were working on this project. Let us tell you that Sanjay Gupta died after falling in his house in Versova on Friday night. He was 59 years old. According to Mumbai Police, Sanjay suffered a head injury after falling inside the house. It resulted in a lot of blood loss. The police is investigating the matter Rakesh and Hrithik, who were working on ‘Kaabil 2’, told Mid-Day, “When I was abroad, Sanjay Gupta used to send me advice on watching things on YouTube. He was a good friend and a person with a very good soul.” He said, “I never thought that he would leave so soon. I loved making ‘Kaabil’ with him. When he narrated the script to Hrithik and me, I shook his hand right away and said that we will take it forward.” Rakesh Roshan said, “Sanjay was a good technician and a capable director. During the shooting of ‘Kaabil’ he never did any work without asking me.” He further added, “After the shoot was over, I told him that I could not have made this film as well as he did. I did not even have to go to the set even once.” According to Rakesh, Sanjay used to discuss everything before shooting. He said that whenever he thought of making the next film, he was going to give the film to Sanjay. Rakesh told that Sanjay was working on two-three subjects for the last two years. However, none of them could be finalized. He said, “He had written the script of ‘Kaabil 2’. Hrithik and I had heard the script and we liked it. We were working on it when suddenly this incident happened.” Rakesh praised Sanjay’s work in ‘Kaabil’. Rakesh Roshan said that Sanjay Gupta’s technical understanding and commercial filmmaking played a big role in ‘Kaabil’. He told that Sanjay used to regularly discuss creative decisions with him before the shooting. Due to his way of working, Rakesh did not need to go to the film sets. The last rites of Sanjay Gupta took place at the Versova crematorium on Saturday evening. His son Shivansh and daughter Dalai lit the funeral pyre. The funeral process was completed at around 8:30 pm. Abhishek Bachchan, Rajpal Yadav, Rajat Bedi and Rakesh Roshan reached the crematorium.
