The property dispute between Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband and industrialist Sanjay Kapoor is not showing any sign of abating. After Sanjay Kapoor’s death in June 2025, Karisma Kapoor’s children Kiyan and Samaira had filed a complaint against stepmother Priya Kapoor for making a fake will. During the hearing, the court had banned Priya from selling Sanjay Kapoor’s property due to doubt over the will. Now Sanjay Kapoor’s mother Seema Kapoor has filed a new petition demanding to stop the board meeting of the company. Sanjay’s mother Rani Kapoor has filed a new petition in the Supreme Court demanding that Priya Kapoor and some other people should not interfere in the functioning of RK Family Trust. According to the petition, a board meeting has been scheduled for May 18, which was called following a court notice issued on May 8. The aim of this board meeting is to appoint a new director of the company. In the petition, Rani Kapoor has demanded a ban on the board meeting scheduled for May 18, saying that no one should interfere in the work of the trust until the mediation process is completed. While hearing Rani Kapoor’s petition, Chief Justice J.B. Pardiwala said, ‘Now we have come into a controversy in front of which even Mahabharata will seem small. We will look into this matter. Rani Kapoor’s case has been listed. The case will be heard on Thursday, May 14. The court gave relief to Karisma’s children. In the recent hearing of the case, the court has banned Priya Kapoor from selling Sanjay Kapoor’s properties to keep them safe. Karisma Kapoor’s children Kiyan and Samaira have claimed in the court that Priya Sachdeva has prepared a fake will of their father. The children allege that the list of properties presented by Priya in the court is incomplete. According to him, Sanjay’s many expensive Rolex watches, precious polo playing horses and paintings worth crores have not been mentioned in this list. Children say that many immovable properties of Sanjay Kapoor have also been kept out of this list. In the petition, the children had said that their father could not exclude them from the will, because he was very close to them. After his death, Priya Kapoor showed him a will in which his name was not there. During the hearing, Delhi High Court said that it is necessary to keep Sanjay Kapoor’s property safe so that it cannot be destroyed. The court has barred Priya Sachdeva from selling any property and has also banned the operation of Sanjay’s bank accounts. The court made a strong comment and said that now it is the responsibility of Priya to prove that the will is genuine. If action is not taken now and later the will is found to be fake, it will be a great injustice to the children. Died while playing polo in London In June 2025, 53-year-old Sanjay Kapoor died of cardiac arrest during a polo match in England. Rani Kapoor says that after the death of her son, her third wife Priya Kapoor took control of the entire group companies and did not give her any share in the property.
