7 people died and 14 were injured in Landslide near Ardhkumari on Vaishno Devi Yatra Marg. Vaishno Devi Yatra was postponed due to bad weather. The devotees returning after darshan fell victim to the accident.
A sudden floods occurred at several places in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. 10 to 15 houses were swept away in this. Doda has killed 4 people during the last 24 hours.
More than 20 houses, shops, restaurants, Beas river and mountain drains were absorbed in Kullu-Manali in Himachal Pradesh. More than 30 houses built along the rivers are also in danger. A part of Kullu-Manali Road was swept away into the Beas River.
Flood -like conditions have been created in 7 districts of Punjab. School schools have been closed by 30 August. 6 people were rescued by Dhruv helicopter from Kajla village in Pathankot. Due to the floods in the Ravi river, people had to call the army to save the trapped people.
