Two trains collided on Friday evening in Bedford area, about 90 kilometers from the British capital London. One train driver died in the accident, while 89 people were injured. The condition of 11 of them is critical. According to railway tracking websites, both trains were headed towards St Pancras station in London. They collided near Bedford at around 5:15 pm. After the accident, a large number of relief teams including air ambulance were sent to the spot. Police said that the incident has been declared a major incident. According to the East of England Ambulance Service, 11 people have been seriously injured in the accident. 22 people have suffered serious injuries, while 56 people have suffered minor injuries. Following the incident, the railway company canceled all trains to and from St Pancras for the rest of Friday. No information has been given yet regarding Saturday services.
