Russia has accused its old colleague Serbia of sending weapons to Ukraine. Russia has said that Serbia is giving weapons to Ukraine in a secret manner with the help of NATO countries.
Russia described it as stabbing it in the back and said that the purpose of these weapons is only to kill Russian soldiers and citizens.
According to the Russian intelligence agency SVR, Serbia’s defense companies are still making Soviet-period weapons and the ammunition is being transported to Ukraine through countries such as Czech Republic, Poland and Bulgaria. Some consignments have also been sent to African countries.
Serbia President Alexander Woochich has admitted that he has recently spoken to President Putin on the issue. The two countries have agreed to form a working group together, which will investigate how weapons are reaching Ukraine.
However, Wuichich has refused to send weapons directly.
