The High Court of Indonesia has upheld the death sentence of three Indian citizens Raju Muthukumaran, Selvurai Dinakaran and Govindasamy Vimalakandan on charges of drug smuggling. The decision was pronounced on 20 June 2025.
The Indian has objected to the case. India’s Ambassador to Indonesia Sandeep Chakraborty said in an official statement, “
We believe in Indonesian judicial system, but the evidence has not been thoroughly investigated in this case. Death sentence should be given only in ‘Rare of the Rerest’ cases.
The three Indians were caught on 14 July 2024 near Riyau Island in Indonesia. The Tanjung Balai Karimun District Court first convicted and sentenced him to death, which was also retained by the High Court.

Israeli Air Force attacked Gaza, more than 100 Palestinians killed
The Israeli Air Force on Saturday launched a big air attack against Hamas in the Beet Hanoon area of North Gaza. According to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), more than 35 Hamas locations were targeted in this operation, including underground terror infrastructure and strategic hideouts.

FBI Chief Kash Patel denied the news of resignation, said- working for the President is a matter of honor
