America carried out air strikes against the terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria on Saturday night. This action was taken after the death of two American soldiers and a civilian in a terrorist attack in Palmyra last month.
According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), the attacks targeted several ISIS positions in different areas of Syria.
CENTCOM said that ISIS positions, weapons and structures were targeted in this operation. However, it has not been made clear in which areas and how many locations were destroyed.
The statement said,
If you harm our soldiers, we will find you in any corner of the world and kill you, no matter how hard you try.
The Trump administration has named this retaliation ‘Operation Hawkeye Strike’. It started on 19 December. Then major attacks were carried out on 70 ISIS targets in Syria.
