Prime Minister Narendra Modi had reached Taherpur in Nadia in West Bengal for a rally, but it is being told that due to low visibility his helicopter could not land. After this he returned to Kolkata Airport. The Prime Minister is now addressing the rally virtually from the airport itself. Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologized to the people for not being able to reach the rally venue due to bad weather.
PM Modi said that due to the weather he had to address the program virtually. In his address, PM Modi paid tribute to the great litterateur Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and said that Vande Mataram was the mantra of struggle against British rule. PM Modi said, “‘Vande Mataram’ has to be made the mantra of nation building.”

The Prime Minister expressed deep sorrow over the news of death of some BJP workers who were going to attend the rally in a train accident and expressed condolences to the bereaved families. He said that in this hour of grief, the Central Government is standing shoulder to shoulder with the families of the victims.

The Prime Minister said that the Central Government is working shoulder to shoulder with the citizens of the country. He said that GST has given great relief to the people of the entire country including Bengal and people across the country have benefited from it during Durga Puja and other festivals.
The PM said that Ganga passes through Bihar to Bengal and Bihar has shown the way to Bengal. He said that Bengal has to be free from Jungle Raj and people of all ages are saying this. The Prime Minister reiterated that he is wholeheartedly dedicated to the people of Bengal and there is no dearth of funds and policies for the state.
PM Modi appealed to give chance to BJP
The Prime Minister said that many development projects in West Bengal are pending because of the state government. He said that if TMC wants to oppose BJP then it should do so, but the idea of stopping development for political gains is incomprehensible. PM Modi appealed to the people to give BJP a chance, let a double engine government be formed and assured that his government will be fully committed to the development of Bengal.
