Rahul Gandhi had participated in the ‘Students’ Echo’ program in Kota, Rajasthan on June 17.
Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi started a nationwide signature campaign named ‘Students’ Echo’. He said on Thursday that this campaign will become a platform to raise issues like paper leaks, irregularities in examinations, expensive education and unemployment to the government. Rahul appealed to the students to join the campaign, give their suggestions and sign the petition.
Rahul Gandhi shared the link of the campaign in X post. Wrote that this campaign will become a voice for those students whose dreams have been affected due to paper leaks, examination related problems or increasing fees. He said that if more and more students participate in this, their demands will reach the government more strongly.
Rahul Gandhi said in the video message – ‘Students’ Echo’ program organized in Kota got tremendous support from students across the country. Lakhs of youth watched his presentation on the education system and shared their views.
Increasing cost of education is the biggest concern
Rahul Gandhi said that the ever-increasing cost of education has become a big problem for millions of families in the country. Lakhs of families are spending huge amounts of money in preparing their children for exams like NEET. This situation is a matter of concern and should be discussed at the national level.
He said that issues related to education, employment and examination system are not the issues of any one political party, but of the entire country. Therefore, students should openly put forward their experiences and suggestions.

Re-exam will be held on June 21
The re-examination of NEET-UG 2026 will be conducted on June 21. The re-exam will be conducted in a single shift from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Students will also be given an additional 15 minutes for administrative procedures. According to NTA, a large number of candidates are expected to appear in this re-examination.
June 12: Reexam will be of 3:15 hours, 4 rough work sheets will be available.
NTA has made some changes in NEET-UG reexam. According to the new guidelines released on June 12, the exam time has now been increased from 180 minutes to 195 minutes. Apart from this, space for rough work has also been increased in the answer sheet.
Exam held on May 3 canceled due to paper leak
NEET-UG exam was conducted across the country on 3 May 2026. After the examination, allegations of question paper leaking and some candidates getting the paper in advance came to light from many states. NTA canceled the exam on May 12 after investigation indicated irregularities. After this, based on the review of the Central Government and the investigating agencies, it was decided to conduct the examination again.
Admission in more than 1 lakh medical colleges through NEET
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the national entrance examination for admission to medical and dental courses in India. It was started in 2013.
Through this examination, admission is available in courses like MBBS, BDS, AYUSH (BAMS, BHMS) and Nursing in all the government and private medical colleges of the country, which also includes prestigious institutes like AIIMS and JIPMER.
