Those boundaries will not be changed until the census is completed. All administrative units will remain in the same position as on December 31 until the census is completed.

Collectors, SDMs, Tehsildars, Commissioners of urban bodies, teachers engaged as enumerators in the census, Patwari, Village Secretaries will come under its purview.

Training of officers and employees related to census is starting in February. More than 2 lakh employees and officers will be on duty for the census work. About 1.60 lakh enumerators will be deployed to conduct door-to-door census. There will be around 30 to 40 thousand supervisors and other officers. Transfers of census-related employees will be possible only in exceptional circumstances.

Census will be held in two phases The census will be held in two phases. In the first phase, from May 15 to June 15, enumerators will go door-to-door and list the houses. Before this, complete preparation and training will take place for two to three months. An enumerator will go to 150 houses and prepare their list.
