Eleven people died in a horrific road accident in Mirzapur on Wednesday night. 8 people burnt alive in Bolero-truck collision. The driver and passenger of the truck along with another passenger of the car were crushed to death. All those who burnt to death were traveling in Bolero. Actually, the brakes of a truck coming loaded with gram from Madhya Pradesh suddenly failed due to which it went out of control. The truck hit the Bolero hard. Due to this the Bolero rammed into the ballast laden trailer moving ahead. The Bolero started burning. The accident happened in Drumadganj police station area. SP Aparna Rajat Kaushik said that all the people riding Bolero are said to be from Hata of Manda area of Prayagraj. These people were returning after visiting Maihar Dham. However, the number of people traveling in Bolero is not clear yet. Bolero is said to be from Hata of Jigna police station area of Mirzapur. The truck driver who was seriously injured in the accident was admitted to the hospital. Where he died during treatment. Police and fire brigade teams carried out rescue on the spot. Due to the fire, all the passengers in the Bolero got trapped inside and were burnt alive. There was hue and cry on the spot after the accident. Local people quickly got involved in rescue operations. But, due to the intense fire no one could be saved. As soon as information about the incident was received, SP Aparna Rajat Kaushik, CO Lalganj Amar Bahadur and forces of Lalganj and Haliya police stations also reached the spot. The fire was brought under control with the help of fire brigade. At present, the police is busy identifying the dead bodies.
