A container train derailed on Saturday evening in Amroha yard between Ghaziabad-Moradabad section of UP. Due to this, rail traffic on this route was disrupted. As soon as the information was received, officials of the railway department reached the spot and the work of removing the derailed coaches was started.
According to the information, 7 coaches of the container train derailed and overturned. Due to this, the Delhi-Lucknow railway line came to a halt. This accident happened near Kalyanpura railway crossing. The goods train was going from Lucknow to Delhi. Then after the accident with the explosion, many coaches derailed.
On hearing the sound of the explosion, a crowd gathered at the spot. There was a stir from Delhi to Lucknow. However, there is no report of any loss of life in this accident. At present, many railway officials are on the spot. On the other hand, due to the disruption of the Delhi Lucknow railway line due to this incident, the movement of trains has been continued through an alternative route between Moradabad-Saharanpur-Meerut Ghaziabad.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, all the senior railway officials reached the spot and conducted a rescue operation. Due to the accident, 11 trains passing through this route were diverted and two trains were cancelled. After about 18 hours, traffic could be restored on this route.
A day before, a goods train had derailed in Gujarat
A goods train coach derailed between Valsad and Surat stations in Gujarat on Friday. However, there is no report of anyone being injured during this time. A Western Railway official said that the incident, which took place near Dungri station at around 3 pm, affected the traffic on the route. According to PTI, the train was heading towards Surat. The accident took place on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad trunk route when Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was reviewing railway safety and other issues at the Western Railway headquarters here. After the incident, railway officials reached the spot and removed the derailed coach from the track. After this, the operation of trains on this route could start. Along with this, an investigation is being conducted to find out the reason behind the incident.
