PM Modi has planted a sindoor plant at the Prime Minister’s residence, it is being linked to operation vermilion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday planted a vermilion at the PM residence on the occasion of World Environment Day. This plant was presented to them by a group of women showing bravery in the 1971 Indo-Pak war in Kutch during the visit to Gujarat on 25-26 May.
The PM also shared the video of planting the plant on social media x. With this, he wrote that on World Environment Day, today I have got the privilege of planting that plant in the Prime Minister’s residence of New Delhi. This plant will remain a strong symbol of bravery and inspiration of our country’s female power.
Actually, this vermilion plant is being linked to operation vermilion. On April 22, India launched aircraft at POK and 9 terrorist bases in Pakistan to avenge the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. The army killed 100 terrorists. This operation was named Sindoor.

PM launches Aravalli Green Wall Project

What is operation vermilion?

After India’s attack on terrorist bases, Pakistan opened fire on the Line of Control (LOC) on Jammu and Kashmir and the International Border. Also tried to drone attacks in border areas. In response, India attacked and destroyed Pakistan’s air defense machinery, radar infrastructure and communication centers.
The Indian attack caused heavy damage to 11 airbases of Pakistan. Subsequently, a ceasefire was announced on May 10 to end the conflict between India and Pakistan.
