Ratan Tata was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.
Ratan Naval Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, passed away at the age of 86. He was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. There was news of his being admitted to the ICU on October 7 also. However, Ratan Tata had written on social media, ‘I am fine and due to my old age had gone to the hospital for routine checkup.’ Many leaders and businessmen including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, leader Rahul Gandhi, Gautam Adani expressed grief over Tata’s demise.
Ratan Tata was the chairman of the group for 22 years: Born on 28 December 1937, Ratan is the great-grandson of Tata Group founder Jamsetji Tata. He was chairman of the group from 1990 to 2012 and interim chairman from October 2016 to February 2017. Before his death, Ratan was the head of the Tata Group’s charitable trusts. 2. CM’s residence sealed in Delhi, PWD said – Atishi took the keys of the house from Kejriwal, came to live without informing us

After the PWD CM residence was sealed, Atishi left from there with her belongings.
PWD sealed CM’s residence on Flag Staff Road, Delhi. Also CM Atishi’s belongings were taken out. Atishi came to live here two days after former CM Arvind Kejriwal vacated his residence on October 4. PWD says that rules were not followed in handing over the house. Atishi had the keys of the house, but did not have the allotment documents.
Vigilance department’s notice to 3 officers: Director of Vigilance has sent show cause notice to 3 officials including Kejriwal’s Special Secretary. Two other officers are those who were posted in the CM office when Kejriwal was the CM.
