1. Gautam Adani accused of fraud in New York, claims – offered bribe of ₹ 2200 crore, Rahul said – Modi is saving him

In America, 8 people including businessman Gautam Adani have been accused of fraud worth billions of rupees. The United States Attorney’s Office says that Adani paid or was planning to pay bribes worth about Rs 2200 crore to Indian officials to get contracts related to solar energy in India.

Arrest warrant issued against Adani: The case is related to Adani Group company Adani Green Energy Limited and another firm. This case was registered in the Federal Court of New York on 24 October 2024. In its hearing on Wednesday, 8 people including Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani have been made accused. According to reports, arrest warrants have also been issued against Adani and Sagar. Sagar is an officer of Adani Green Energy Limited.

Kenya cancels deal with Adani: After the matter came to light, the Kenyan government has announced the cancellation of all deals made with Adani Group. These included big projects like power transmission and airport expansion. Both the deals were worth Rs 21,422 crore.

Rahul said- Adani should be arrested: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference on the allegations of corruption against Adani. Rahul said that Adani ji should be arrested. He has done a scam of Rs 2 thousand crores. But he will neither be arrested nor any investigation will be done. Because the Prime Minister is associated with them.

2. Delhi Assembly Elections- AAP’s first list released, tickets to 6 leaders from BJP-Congress

Aam Aadmi Party has released the first list of candidates for Delhi Assembly elections. There are 11 names in the list. Of these, there are six leaders who have left BJP or Congress and joined AAP. Brahm Singh Tanwar, Bibi Tyagi and Anil Jha had recently left BJP. Whereas, Zubair Chaudhary, Veer Singh Dhingan and Sumesh Shaukeen have come to AAP from Congress.

Government’s tenure will end in 2025: The current tenure of Delhi Assembly ends on 23 February 2025. The last assembly elections were held in February 2020, in which AAP won an absolute majority and 62 out of 70 seats. BJP was successful in winning only 8 seats, while Congress’s account was not even opened.

3. Attack on passenger van in Pakistan, 50 killed, 20 injured; Second attack in two days

Firing was done on a passenger van in Khyber Pakhtukhwa province of Pakistan. 50 people died in this. One police officer and 20 people are injured. According to AFP report, as soon as the passenger van passed near Kurram Valley, the terrorists already ambushed there started firing indiscriminately at the van. The van was going from Parachinar to Peshawar.
