During the interview with Vicky Lalwani, Mumtaz explained why Dilip Kumar and Madhubala’s relationship ended. According to Mumtaz, Dilip Kumar broke the relationship with Madhubala because he wanted a child and due to Madhubala’s heart disease, his children were less likely to have children. Dilip Kumar later married Saira Bano, but there was no child.

Mumtaz told- I do not blame Dilip Saheb in this, because every man wants him to have children. His wish from Madhubala could not be fulfilled. I regret that her wish was not fulfilled even after her marriage to Saira Bano.

There was love between the two on Tarana’s set

Let me tell you that Dilip Kumar and Madhubala’s love started on the set of the film ‘Tarana’ (1951), making them one of the most favorite on-screen couples of Bollywood. Gradually, the relationship between them became stronger and people started feeling that they would marry. However, luck had something else approved. Some other reasons are given behind this.

Bitterness came into relationship with one condition

It is said that a condition of Dilip Kumar brought bitterness in the relationship. In fact, during the shooting of BR Chopra’s film ‘Naya Daur’ in Gwalior, some goons misbehaved with women and tore their clothes. After this incident, Madhubala’s father asked to change the location of the shooting.

The film’s director BR Chopra removed Madhubala from the film and cast Vyjayanthimala. When the matter reached the court, Dilip Kumar supported the director. After this, there was bitterness in their relationship. Madhubala wanted Dilip Kumar to apologize to her father. Dilip Kumar told Madhubala that you leave your father, I will marry you. Both had their own stubbornness. Because of this the relationship was destroyed.
