Question- How strong and different will your character look in Delhi Crime Season 3?
Answer- In the third season of Delhi Crime, the character of Neeti Singh will look quite different and stronger than before. Till now you had seen the same change inside him. Understanding of working within the system. This time she will be faced with very difficult decisions, which will be different from the traditions of the society.
Some twists and turns will be confusing, but she will handle everything with courage. Overall, his journey will be more truthful, courageous and effective than before.

Delhi Crime Season 3 releases on Netflix on 13th November 2025, Rasika Duggal returns as Neeti Singh
Question– This time too did you work on your body language or any kind of research to play the role of a police officer?
Answer- Neeti Singh’s character in Season 1 was a probation officer. The real officer I was following was also on the same post. The show’s advisor Neeraj Kumar, who was the Commissioner of Delhi at the time of the Nirbhaya case, made me meet him.
By Season 2, she became Officer ACP and went to Chandigarh. I went to his office, met him several times and spent time with him. I saw that he was strict and disciplined in everything. Everything from uniform to behavior should be perfect.
Even though my character was not promoted in Season 3, he was promoted in real life. The interesting thing is that I did not go looking for her, but she turned out to be just as idealistic and honest as Neeti Singh.
Question- You have worked in films and OTT, but which was the script that proved to be the turning point in your career?
Answer- The turning point of my career came from the casting of the film Manto. Before that, he did special films like ‘Kissa’ with Irrfan and Tilottama, but Manto showed a new path. At that time many directors wanted to take me in the project, but the producers said that I was not a celebrity.
Then Nandita expressed confidence in me and gave me that role. This was the turning point. After that, shows like Delhi Crime and Mirzapur came, which introduced me to a bigger audience and gave me a blockbuster-like feel.

Rasika Duggal was initially rejected in Manto, but director Nandita Das gave her a chance.
Question- How was your casting in the show Mirzapur, was it a coincidence or the result of hard work?
Answer- This story is related to Karan Anshuman, the creator of the first season of Mirzapur, who is my friend. Someone said they were working on a story, so I sent them a message. There was hesitation because they were my friends. Then I messaged and he immediately replied that let’s meet and let’s talk. He told the story and asked if I was interested.
I liked the story very much. She said that she thought that I should not do web shows because I am doing films like Manto. Then he asked me to audition. I auditioned in Anmol and Abhishek Banerjee’s casting company. I thought I had given a very bad audition and would get rejected.
Maybe my physique was not like that character. Then I called the show’s producer Abbas and asked if I could audition once again. He said don’t worry, you have done well. In the next call he told that I have been selected.

Rasika Duggal’s first film was Anwar, for which she got Rs 3000 per day.
Question- Your character had some bold scenes in Mirzapur. Was there any hesitation or confusion in your mind while doing those scenes?
Answer- Not at all, because that scene was necessary from the point of view of the script. It was not inserted to force or sensationalize it. Punit Krishna, the writer, had built every character very sensitively. As far as intimate scenes are concerned, Punit, Gurmeet and Karan told me about every shot before the shoot.
Who would be present on the set, whether the set would remain closed, all these things had already been discussed, which were necessary for my comfort. Now intimacy coordinators have come, but they were not there then.
Question- You have worked in OTT and films. What is the biggest difference in the shooting styles of both?
Answer- Be it OTT or film, I approach both in the same way. But during the shoot of the series, we have to shoot 5-5 scenes in a day, there is a lot of running around and also difficulties.
Whereas in films you get full time to observe the character. But in OTT, the entire cast gets a chance to live the journey of the character. For example, my role in Mirzapur may have been shown less on screen, but it had a track which was shown beautifully.
Question: If you had not come into the world of acting, which role would you have been playing in real life?
Answer: After leaving FTII, I had promised myself that no matter what happens, I will always become an actor. When you find that special thing in life, after getting it you feel a strange happiness in your heart, as if you have found your perfect identity or soulmate. Then there is no desire for anything else.

Yes, it is true that I would like to become a musician in my next life. Started learning piano for one film, but started busy shooting for another. Now my husband fulfills my hobby.
