Actor and WWE wrestler Saurav Gurjar, who played the role of Bheem in the serial ‘Mahabharat’, has been taken into custody by the Hyderabad Police on charges of cheating and harassing a woman.

Police caught him from Mumbai airport and brought him to Hyderabad and sent him to judicial custody for 14 days after legal process. A woman has accused Sourav of spending time in a live-in relationship with her on the promise of marriage and also made her lose her job in America.

Whenever the woman talked about marriage, Saurav blocked her number and maintained a distance.

We met on Instagram, then started living together

According to the complaint of the 29-year-old woman, she met Saurav Gurjar through Instagram in the year 2021. After this, both of them started talking on WhatsApp and the closeness between them increased.

The woman told that both of them met for the first time on 25 December 2021. During this time, Sourav had promised to marry her and give her the status of his wife. After this, both of them started living together in America and remained together even after returning to India.

American got fired on the pretext of business

The woman says that she had left her job in America on the insistence of Saurav. Saurav had promised her that both of them would start a new business together.

The woman alleges that due to continuous mental harassment she could not concentrate on her career. Whenever she raised questions about marriage, Saurav used to block her phone number and stay away from her.

Lived together in Hyderabad, then suddenly disappeared

The victim told the police that Saurav lived with her from October 2025 to March 2026. Both were living together in Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, Saurav suddenly disappeared without giving any information. After this the victim lodged a complaint with the police. After the case was registered, Gachibowli police started investigation and took Saurav Gurjar into custody from Mumbai airport.

Saurav Gurjar played the role of Bheem in the Star Plus show ‘Mahabharat’ in 2013.

Have worked in ‘Mahabharata’, Bheem and ‘Brahmastra’

Saurav Gurjar started his acting career in 2013 with Star Plus show ‘Mahabharat’, in which he played the role of Bheem. The show ran from 2013 to 2014.

After this, between 2016 and 2017, he was seen in the roles of Ravana and Bali in the serial ‘Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman’.

Saurabh played the role of supporting villain in the film ‘Brahmastra’.

In the year 2022, he made his Bollywood debut with the film ‘Brahmastra’. After a break of three years, in February 2025, he returned to TV with Colors TV’s show ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav’, in which he was playing the character of selfishness.\
