Mehbooba Mufti is the President of PDP. She has been the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti also responded to Prime Minister Modi’s ‘mindful Naxal’ comment. She said on Sunday that she supports Article 370 of the Constitution, hence she is also a mental Naxal.
At the same time, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said on Sunday that PM Modi had not called the opposition leaders mental Naxals. Rijiju wrote in the post that those people who are supporters of Maoists, do not believe in the Indian Constitution, and support Article 370 are called ‘brainy Naxal’.
During his address from the Red Fort on August 15, the PM had said that the country should protect itself from mental Naxalites and such people should be identified and isolated.

Congress called Naxal as hollow minded
Congress said on Modi’s statement that the mindless Naxal is hollow. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said that earlier the demand for caste census was rejected as urban Naxal thinking, but a year ago caste based census was announced.
He said that first the demands of the opponents are given derogatory names, then later the same demands are accepted. Even after 12 years, there was nothing new in his political speech.
Earlier, senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram had also hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘mindful Naxalite’ statement. He had said that “I am proud to be a mental Naxalite.”
