Rajasthan Royals may release Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal before IPL 2027. According to media reports, he may be traded with Hardik Pandya of Mumbai Indians.
There is news that the management of Rajasthan is not happy with Jaiswal’s attitude. The main reason for this is said to be handing over the captaincy to Riyan Parag before him. However, there has been no official statement on this from the franchise or the player.

Jaiswal’s highest score in IPL 2026 was 77 runs. Which he made against Mumbai Indians.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi gave option to Rajasthan
Jaiswal had scored 427 runs in 16 matches of IPL 2026. He batted at an average of 30.50 and strike rate of 152.50. He could score only 3 fifties in the season.
His opening partner Vaibhav Suryavanshi remained in the spotlight throughout the season. Vaibhav scored 776 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 237.30. He won the Orange Cap, Super Sixes and Super Striker titles.

Rajasthan needs fast bowling all-rounder
Rajasthan Royals needs a fast bowling all-rounder. Last year, he included Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja in the team in exchange for Sanju Samson in a trade with Chennai Super Kings. However, Karan could not play even a single match of the season due to injury.
News of Hardik’s trade has come earlier also
Recently there was a report that Indian all-rounder Hardik can join the team of Chennai Super Kings.
Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals are also considering the option of including Hardik in their team.
While talking to Sportstar, Mumbai Indians spokesperson had denied any talks regarding trade of players.

Mumbai’s poor performance under Hardik’s captaincy
Mumbai Indians won their last IPL title in 2020. Since then the team has not reached the finals. Mumbai had acquired Hardik through trade from Gujarat Titans for IPL 2024. Then Rohit Sharma, who had won the IPL 5 times, was removed from the captaincy and Hardik was given the captaincy.
Despite this, there was no improvement in the team’s performance. The team was out of the group stage in 2024. Reached playoffs in 2025. In 2026, once again the team was out of the group stage.
