Former actress and Kinnar Akhara’s Mahamandaleshwar Mamta Kulkarni (Yamai Mamta Nand Giri) has jumped into the Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand controversy. He asked two questions. Raising questions on SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, Mamta Kulkarni asked- can he promise to stop cow slaughter. Will Akhilesh Yadav give any concrete assurance on the issue of stopping cow slaughter? Mamata cited the dialogue between sage Kunal and Shwetaketu in the Rigveda and said that religion should be kept away from politics. Said- Nine out of ten Mahamandaleshwar and so called Shankaracharya are liars and have zero knowledge. He claimed that his Guruvar belonged to the Nath sect and was an ascetic saint.
