The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday raided the premises of Kolkata Police Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shantanu Sinha Biswas and businessman Jai Kamdar. This action has been taken in connection with the investigation of money laundering case related to ‘Sona Pappu’, who runs the alleged extortion syndicate.
Officials began searches at DC Biswas’s locations in Ballygunge and Fern Road at 6 am, while also raiding the residence of Sun Enterprise MD Jai Kamdar in Behala.

Bus fell into ditch in Ajmer, Rajasthan, 31 people of the same family were on board, 2 died

Two people died in a road accident in Ajmer, Rajasthan on Sunday afternoon. A passenger bus lost control and fell into a ditch. According to the police, there were 31 people of the same family in the bus, who were going from Ajmer to Pushkar.
Initial information has revealed that due to a technical fault in the bus, the driver lost control and the vehicle fell straight into the ditch. After the accident, the local administration and relief team reached the spot and the injured were admitted to nearby hospitals. At present further investigation of the case is going on.
CBI arrested 2 including DGCA Deputy Director General, recovered Rs 37 lakh cash

The CBI has arrested the Deputy Director General of DGCA and a senior official of a private company in a bribery case related to drone import in India. This case is related to bribe of Rs 2.5 lakh.
According to the CBI, in the action taken on Saturday, M Deula, Deputy Director General posted at Airworthiness Directorate, DGCA Headquarters, New Delhi, and Bharat Mathur, Senior Vice President of a leading corporate group, were arrested.
CBI conducted raids at four places in Delhi, from where Rs 37 lakh in cash, gold and silver coins and several digital devices were seized. At present, CBI is further investigating this matter and the entire network is being investigated.

Vice President CP Radhakrishnan said during a major community event organized in Colombo that now the eligibility of OCI card for people of Indian origin in Sri Lanka has been increased from 4 generation to 6 generation.
Giving information about this decision, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said that this was a long-standing demand of the Tamil community of Indian origin. This decision will benefit a large number of people, especially those who have been living in Sri Lanka for many generations but were not formally associated with India.
