The Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed appeals challenging the acquittal of all 22 accused, including 21 policemen, in the fake encounter killings of Sohrabuddin Shaikh, his wife Kausar Bi and his aide Tulsiram Prajapati.

A division bench of Chief Justice Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam Ankhar upheld the acquittal and dismissed the petitions filed by Shaikh’s brothers Rubabuddin and Naibuddin.

The demolition of 88 buildings has started on the banks of Panniyar River in Idukki, Kerala. This mega demolition is being done after the order of Kerala High Court.

Accused acquitted in murder case of 4 year old stepson: Thane court said- lack of evidence

A court in Thane, Maharashtra has acquitted a man accused of murdering his four-year-old stepson. The court said that the prosecution had not been able to establish the entire chain of evidence against the accused and the offense had not been proven beyond reasonable doubt.

Sessions Judge SB Aggarwal, in his order on Tuesday, also noted the contradictions in the testimony of prosecution witnesses. The court said that the evidence presented in the case was not sufficient.

The court ordered the immediate release of accused Mohammad Dilshad Mohammad Imran (25). He was in jail since July 30, 2024. The court said that if he is not wanted in any other case then he should be released immediately.

According to the prosecution, the accused had strangled his wife’s son from her first relationship to death in a flat located on Ghodbunder Road in Manpada area of ​​Thane on July 28, 2024. It was told that there was a dispute regarding the identity of the child.
