The incidents of threats to government buildings and private schools in Punjab are not stopping. Recently there was an IED blast in Activa near BSF Chowk. After which Punjab Police has come on alert mode. But after 2 days of this incident, now the private school has received a threat. According to the information received, APJ School has received a bomb threat. There was a stir in the administration regarding this incident.
The said threat was received by the school located at BMC Chowk through e-mail, after which the school management immediately took major precautionary measures and sent all the students home after giving them leave. As soon as information about the threat was received, an atmosphere of chaos was created in the school premises and security arrangements were also tightened. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the concerned departments have been informed. At present, police and administrative teams are busy investigating the matter. However, no suspicious object has been recovered so far in the police investigation.
It is noteworthy that today in this school the Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Maan Was about to address a state level program. The security agencies were already on standby due to the proposed visit of the Chief Minister, but this threatening e-mail that came just before the program has raised question marks on the security arrangements.
According to police sources, the IP address of the e-mail is being traced to find out whether it is someone’s mischief or there is some deep conspiracy behind it. Bomb disposal squad and dog squad teams are conducting intensive searches of the entire complex. In the last few months, schools in Amritsar and Chandigarh have also received similar threats, due to which there is great concern among parents about the safety of their children.
