An employee of the Israeli Embassy got stuck in the lift in a building in Delhi’s Vasant Vihar on Tuesday afternoon. As soon as the information was received, the team of Delhi Police and Fire Department reached the spot. According to the police, the incident was reported at around 12:20 pm. The fire department sent three vehicles to the spot. However, before they could reach, Delhi Police safely rescued the employee trapped in the lift. Initial investigation has revealed that the lift had stopped midway due to a technical fault, due to which the employee remained stuck inside for some time. His contribution to Marathi theater is considered a milestone. He directed famous plays like ‘Ek Shunya Bajirao’, ‘Barrister’, ‘Hamidabaichi Kothi’, ‘Purusha’, ‘Mahasagar’ and ‘Shakuntal’. Vijay Mehta directed the famous Hindi parallel cinema films ‘Rao Saheb’ (1986) and ‘Pestonji’ (1988). As an actor, she was also seen in Govind Nihalani’s film ‘Party’ in 1984.
