The state government will gift a one gram gold ring to the children of local residents born in a government hospital in Tamil Nadu. Both boys and girls will be eligible for the scheme. No matter how many children there are in the family, every new born will get the ring.

Chief Minister Vijay’s government has ordered to implement ‘Thaimaman Thanga Mothiram Thittam’ scheme. The commencement will start from 15 September 2026 (birth anniversary of former CM Annadurai). The benefit will be available to children born from June 22, 2026 (Vijay’s birthday). The price of one gram ring is Rs 14,218. It is noteworthy that the delivery cost in a government hospital is Rs 1,364, whereas in private hospitals it is more than Rs 63,000. With the implementation of the scheme, women will now turn to government hospitals.
