A tractor fell off a bridge after being hit by a truck in Koppal district of Karnataka on Friday. 7 people including a one year old child died in the accident, while 12 people were injured. According to the police, there were 19 people traveling in the tractor. Everyone was going to Huligemma temple. Initial investigation has revealed that a truck hit the tractor, due to which the driver lost control and the tractor fell off the bridge. 6 people died on the spot. Later another injured person died during treatment. The injured are undergoing treatment in different hospitals. Expressing grief over the accident, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
