Elon Musk’s SpaceX has launched India’s communication satellite GSAT-N2. This is the country’s first collaboration with Elon Musk. SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rockets by cape of florida Canaveral Took off from the Space Force Station.
It is noteworthy that GSAT-N2 is the first ISRO spacecraft to be sent into space from an American launch vehicle since 1990, before which INSAT-1D was launched.
The weight of GSAT-N2 is 4700 kg. It will provide enhanced broadband service to Indian users from Jio Stationary Transfer Orbit for the next 14 years.

K Sanjay Murthy will be the new Comptroller and Auditor General of India

1989 batch Himachal Pradesh cadre IAS officer K Sanjay Murthy has been made the Comptroller and Auditor General of the country i.e. CAG. At present he is the Secretary in the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education. He will take charge soon. Sanjay will replace the current CAG Girish Chandra Murmu. Murmu was appointed CAG in August 2020. His tenure ends on November 20.
