IndiGo on Tuesday announced that it will temporarily stop its flight services to Manchester (UK) from August 31, 2026. The airline said that due to restrictions on international air routes, the time and cost of flights has also increased significantly. For this reason this decision has been taken.
Currently IndiGo is operating direct flights from Delhi and Mumbai to Manchester. The airline also said it would return the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft it had leased from Norse Atlantic Airways following the closure of the Manchester service.
IndiGo started flights to Manchester in July 2025. It was included in the airline’s larger plans for international expansion, but due to rising costs and airspace restrictions it has now been decided to close.
