A 2.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Nagaon district of Assam late Saturday at 12.56 am. Its center was at a depth of 40 km from the ground. There has been no talk of any kind of life in the earthquake. On July 8, a 4.1 Richter earthquake occurred in Karbi Anglong district. It was 25 km inside the ground.
