An earthquake was felt in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday. The National Center for Seismology said the earthquake was recorded around 2:40 am on Saturday and its epicenter was at a depth of 25 km in Karbi Anglong. The intensity of the earthquake was recorded at 2.9 on the Rector scale.
