The England Cricket Board (ECB) has changed the timings for 3 T-20 matches for the Indian audience. The matches which earlier started at 11 pm, will now start an hour earlier at 10 pm. India will play 3 ODIs and 5 T20 matches on the England tour in July. The T-20 series will take place from July 1 to July 11. The ODI series will be played between July 14 and July 19. Before this, the Indian team will also play a two-match T-20 series against Ireland on 26 and 28 June. ECB took the decision keeping the audience in mind. The decision to change the timing of the matches has been taken to increase the number of TV viewers in India. The ECB discussed this with broadcasters Sky Sports (UK) and Sony Sports Network (India). ECB expects profit from India tour. ECB is expected to make good profit this year from India’s white-ball series. The board is likely to benefit from both match day earnings and broadcasting rights. According to reports, the ECB has suffered a loss despite hosting the Ashes series against Australia in 2027. This has further increased the importance of the India series. All ODI tickets sold, T20 still left. T20 series between India and England will start first. But its entire tickets are yet to be sold. The tickets for all three ODI matches have been completely sold out. The biggest reason for this is the fans of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. However, the tickets for the ODI matches were announced even before the announcement. Kohli and Rohit have already retired from T20 and Test cricket. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Virat Kohli will be in focus. 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has been included in the T-20 team for the England tour. Virat Kohli will also be in focus in ODI. He will not play the ODI series against Afghanistan due to a hamstring injury. In such a situation, his comeback will be kept an eye on in the ODI series against England in July. Kohli has not played any match for India after the ODI series against New Zealand in January 2026. Suryavanshi had scored the maximum of 776 runs in this IPL season. Indian T20 team for Ireland and England tour: Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Verma (vice-captain), Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dubey, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Varun Chakraborty, Mohammed Siraj, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and Prince Yadav. Last year, the series was tied 2-2. India toured England in 2025 and played a five-Test series. That series ended in a draw at 2-2. India’s victory in the last Test at The Oval had ended the series in a draw.
