During the Braves of the Soil tribute trailer launch event related to the film Border 2, he said that he believes in making a good film.

After the release of Border 2’s song ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’, memes were made on social media about Varun’s acting and his smiling reaction. However, after the release of the trailer of the film, many people praised him.

When asked at the event that when the teaser was launched, there was noise (trolling) about you, which is now gradually decreasing, how do you see it? Varun said that this project is not just a film, but a commitment that requires tremendous fitness and mental strength.

According to Varun, the shooting has been very tough and at times has had to be done in difficult conditions, where the stamina of the cast and the entire team is really tested.

He told that the nature of this film is such that the actors have to look and behave like soldiers. For this he had to undergo training much beyond the normal gym workout. Their objective was to give a real demonstration which could give respect to the Indian Armed Forces.

Varun further said that the difficult conditions present on the set helped the actors a lot in getting into their characters. Be it the weather or the difficult terrain, the environment gave depth to his acting. He told that he never experienced the kind of discipline required in this film in his previous projects.
