In the viral pictures and videos, Khwaja Asif is seen cutting the ribbon of the outlet built in Sialkot Cantonment. He also posed in front of the camera with scissors in his hand. Pizza Hut accused of misuse of brand. Pizza Hut Pakistan issued a statement saying that this restaurant opened in Sialkot Cantonment is misusing the name and brand of Pizza Hut. The company said, this outlet is not associated with it and does not follow the recipes, quality protocols, food safety and operational standards of Pizza Hut International. The company also informed that it has filed a formal complaint with the concerned authorities to stop the misuse of its trademark and has sought immediate action on it. According to the company, it currently has a total of 16 official outlets in Pakistan. Of these, 14 are in Lahore and two in Islamabad. Asif became a joke on social media. As soon as this matter came to light, people started making fun of it on social media platform X. One user wrote, “Defence Minister Khawaja Asif inaugurated a fake Pizza Hut franchise in Sialkot. These stupid old people have imposed themselves on us.” Another user jokingly wrote, “When Pizza Hut itself says, this is not our slice.” Pizza Hut has outlets in more than 100 countries. The world’s famous food chain Pizza Hut is an international pizza restaurant brand. The brand is known for pizza, pasta and fast food items and has outlets in more than 100 countries across the world. Pizza Hut was started in the year 1958 in Kansas state of America.
