IPL founder and businessman Lalit Modi is furious over the news of his joining Bigg Boss 20. Terming these news as fake, he has sent a legal notice to those spreading such news. He has clearly said that he is neither becoming a part of this show nor will he become one.
Lalit Modi denied these reports on the official X account (earlier Twitter) on Saturday morning. He wrote, “Fake news. That’s it. I have not been approached for Bigg Boss 20. I am not participating in Bigg Boss 20 nor do I have any intention of doing so.”
He further wrote, It is really surprising that even a completely fabricated news becomes “news” without even asking the person concerned. My lawyers have issued the attached legal notice in this matter. Perhaps next time the facts should be verified before publishing the news.”
Modi also shared the legal notice sent by his lawyers. Her lawyer Hirani & Associates warned publications and social media accounts that had carried news of her joining Bigg Boss 20.
The notice described the news as false and baseless.
The legal notice states that the news of Lalit Modi being made a contestant of Bigg Boss 20 is false. “Our client clarifies that the said news is false, baseless and mischievous. Our client has not been contacted by the producers, broadcasters, channel or any representative of the programme,” the notice said.
It further said that no person has been given permission on behalf of Modi to represent him or make any statement regarding the event on his behalf.
According to the notice, the news was published without investigation and permission. In this, objection was also raised to the use of Modi’s name, picture, photo, appearance, voice and other things related to his identity to show his connection with Bigg Boss 20.
Bigg Boss 20 will premiere on 6th September
Meanwhile, the audience remains interested in the 20th season of Bigg Boss. Salman Khan is returning as the host of the show this season too. Bigg Boss 20 will premiere on September 6 on Jio Hotstar and Colors. A glimpse of the new format has been given in the first trailer of the show.
