‘फिल्म स्त्री पर कोई पैसा लगाने को तैयार नहीं था’: प्रोड्यूसर दिनेश विजान बोले- मूवी के टाइटल पर ही लोगों को परेशानी थी

Film producer Dinesh Vijan’s new film ‘Ikkis One’ is going to be released on January 1. Vijan has made many famous films like Cocktail, Badlapur, Hindi Medium, Stree, Luka Chuppi and Chhaava under the banner of his production company Maddock Films. Recently he told that no one was ready to invest money on his superhit film Stree.

Speaking to PTI, Vijan said, “The last three years have been wonderful for us. Stree became the number one Hindi film. This was something no one could have imagined. When we made our first film Stree, no one was willing to fund it. So I had to make the film on my own.”

He told that people had problem with the title of the film itself. Many people had said that a film named Stree would not work. For this reason no one came forward to invest. Despite this, he made the film and the result is in front of everyone.

Vijan said that after this came the film Chhaava, which became the second biggest Hindi film. What more can be asked for? The success of these films has given him the freedom to work on bigger and bolder films like Ikkis and Mahavatar.

The film ‘Stree’, with a budget of around Rs 25 crore, had earned more than Rs 150 crore.

The film Stree was released in the year 2018. Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor played lead roles in this film. The film was directed by Amar Kaushik, while it was produced by Dinesh Vijan, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.

Stree 2 earned more than Rs 500 crore

The sequel of this film was released in the year 2024. It was not only a huge hit at the box office, but also received a lot of praise from critics. The film grossed more than Rs 500 crore in India.

Talking about Dinesh Vijan’s new film Ikkis, it has been directed by Shriram Raghavan. The film is based on the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest soldier to receive the Param Vir Chakra.

Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, late Dharmendra, Sikandar Kher and Simar Bhatia will be seen in the film. It has been made under the banner of Dinesh Vijan’s production house Maddock Films. Regarding the film, Dinesh Vijan said that he hopes that the audience will like this film.
