The 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is being organized from 20 to 28 November in Panaji, Goa. Actor Nandamuri arrived in Goa on Thursday to participate in the Balakrishna Film Festival.

During the film festival, Nandamuri expressed his opinion on the increasing use of technology in films. During the conversation, he also expressed his displeasure over the current filmmaking process.

Speaking to the media, he said, “I am NTR’s son and am carrying forward his legacy. My understanding of films has come from my experience and I am proud of it. Nowadays filmmaking is completely based on technology.”

He further said that his films show a bigger world and hence the story is most important for him. According to Balakrishna, technology is used when needed, but now technology is being used everywhere in films. He said, “Nowadays, heroes don’t even come on the sets. They shoot in front of green mats and blue mats. I am the original, I am not a duplicate.”

Let us tell you that during the opening ceremony of IFFI, Nandamuri was also honored for completing 50 years in the film industry.

Talking about the work front, his upcoming film Akhand 2 is the sequel of 2021 film Akhand. Balakrishna will be seen in double role in this. Harshali Malhotra and Sanyukta Menon will also be seen in this film. The film will be released worldwide on December 5.

Let us tell you that the 56th International Film Festival of India started on Thursday in Panaji, Goa. For the first time, IFFI was inaugurated with a grand parade. Goa Governor P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan were present at the opening ceremony. Apart from this, many famous personalities of the country and abroad participated.

CM started the program by watering the Tulsi plant. On this occasion, CM Pramod Sawant said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian cinema is reaching international heights.

For the first time, tableaux from Andhra Pradesh, Haryana and Goa were seen in the parade which was included in the opening ceremony. Folk artists from different parts of the country participated in this parade. Also included were performances by film studios and a special 50-year tribute by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC).

Let us tell you that before the grand opening of IFFI, Bollywood actor Anupam Kher, director Shekhar Kapur, Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna had inaugurated the Waves Film Bazaar in the festival.

Anupam Kher’s 4 films will be screened in IFFI 2025, about which he has expressed happiness. The actor’s films that will be screened include ‘Tanvi the Great’, ‘The Bengal Files’, 1942 A Love Story and ‘Calori’.

‘Calori’ is a Canadian film, written and directed by Indo-Canadian filmmaker Isha Marjara, along with this a master class by Anupam will also be organized here.

The nine-day festival will feature film screenings, cultural programs and industry-related events, with around 200 films from more than 80 countries being screened at the festival.
