Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan was arrested from Islamabad High Court on May 9.
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan may come out of jail. Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi have both been released in the Iddat case (fake marriage). The Islamabad court gave this verdict on Saturday. Earlier, they have been released in the Toshakhana case and the Cipher case.
Islamabad District Court on Saturday ordered that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi should be released from jail immediately if they are not wanted in any other case. Imran Khan and his wife were sentenced to 7 years in jail and fined Rs 5 lakh in the fake marriage case in February.
As soon as the court’s decision came, Imran Khan’s supporters demanded his immediate release. Imran Khan was arrested in the Al Qadir Trust case from the Islamabad High Court on August 5 last year. He was arrested by Pakistani Rangers. He has been in jail for 350 days.

What is the fake marriage (Iddat) case?
Bushra Bibi’s ex-husband, Khawar Farid Maneka, had filed a case against Bushra and Imran for contracting marriage during the period of Iddat. The couple was convicted in the case on February 3. After this, former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 7 years in prison and fined 5 lakh Pakistani rupees.
Earlier, on June 3, the Islamabad High Court acquitted Imran Khan in the Cipher Case (secret letter theft) due to lack of evidence. He was sentenced to 10 years by a special court in Islamabad. Imran Khan was taken into custody on 29 August 2023 in the Cipher Gate scandal.
Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party’s vice president Shah Mehmood Qureshi were found guilty in the secret letter theft case. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had made both of them accused in the cipher case.
