Farhana has been raised by her mother and maternal grandfather.

When she was four months old, her father left her.

Farhana Bhatt was born on 15 March 1997 in Kashmir. When she was just four months old, her father left her and her mother. After this he was raised by his mother and maternal grandfather. Talking to TeleIndia, Farhana told that she saw struggle since childhood.

His mother raised him alone amid economic and social challenges. For this reason, she understood the responsibilities at an early age and later started bearing the expenses of her education and needs herself.

Farhana told that in her childhood she was not included in many family programs and picnics. If Farhana was taken, her mother was told to keep a scarf on her head, only then she would be taken along.

He said that at times he was treated in a way that even a step-child would not be treated. Relatives wanted her to be a girl who obeyed everything, but her nature was different.

Relatives used to say- leave him with his father

Farhana said that some relatives used to tell her mother, “Leave him to his father, he will spoil our respect.”

He told that people used to taunt him for making videos and modeling. Some people had said in a threatening tone that “some day they will run it under the car.” Farhana says that such things used to break her, but later these became her strength.

‘I was a thorn in their eye, not a puppet’

Farhana said that since childhood she was a girl who asked questions and took her own decisions. This was the reason why some people in the family did not like her.

She said, “I was always a thorn in their eye. But I’m glad I didn’t become anyone’s puppet.”

Farhana believes that if she had not faced so much opposition and contempt in her childhood, perhaps she would not have had such a fire to prove herself.

Got Imtiaz Ali’s film, but did it for money

Farhana told that when she got the opportunity to work in ‘Laila Majnu’, she was not thinking of becoming a star. He did the film because he was getting good money for it.

He thought that the film would not do well, but it became quite popular in Kashmir. After this, relatives and neighbors started coming home to congratulate his mother. People started feeling proud that they had worked with directors like Imtiaz Ali and Sajid Ali.

Farhana has completed her graduation degree in Mass Communication. He learned acting from Anupam Kher’s academy.

Left journalism and chose acting

Farhana wanted to become a journalist since childhood. He did internship in many big news channels and newspapers of Kashmir.

But after some time she realized that she could not do a 9 to 5 job. She felt that acting was the only work she could do for the rest of her life. After this he decided to make acting his career.

Farhana entered Bollywood in 2016 with the film ‘Sunshine Music Tours and Travels’ opposite Sunny Kaushal.

Made up his mind to leave civil service, astrologer changed his mind

At one time Farhana had decided to leave acting and prepare for civil services. During this time, he met an astrologer in Delhi.

According to Farhana, the astrologer looked at her date of birth and said, “Your name is not written in Civil Services. You will get success only in showbiz.”

He told that in January 2025, another astrologer had also told him that this year will change his life and he will get big recognition.

Didn’t leave the industry for the girls of Kashmir

Farhana told that during the struggle many times the thought of quitting acting came to her mind. But she could not do this, because many girls of Kashmir considered her an inspiration.

She often received messages that if Farhana could move forward by breaking the restrictions of society and family, then she too could fulfill her dreams. Farhana says that if she had accepted defeat, the trust of those girls would have been broken.

Saved from becoming a victim of casting scam in Mumbai

In the initial days of her career, a woman called Farhana to Mumbai on the pretext of a Bollywood film. He was told that the shooting of the film was about to begin and accommodation arrangements had been made in a hotel.

But on reaching Mumbai, he was taken to an alleged director’s house instead of the hotel. He was kept sitting there till late night. Gradually they realized that something was wrong.

Suspicious conditions were written in the contract

Farhana told that at night she was given a contract to read. There were such conditions that the artists would have to stay at the director’s farmhouse for a week or two. As soon as he read the contract, he understood that the matter was suspicious. He immediately called the woman who had called him to Mumbai and clearly told him to reach there immediately.

Farhana told that when she was called to the director’s room, she was very scared. He held the vase kept nearby in his hand for safety.

She had told her friend that if the man did anything wrong, she would attack him with the same vase. Later, under pressure, she arranged return tickets for herself and her friend. Both returned safely to Srinagar.

Later it was found out that the director was a fraud

Farhana told that after some time she got information that the alleged director had cheated many people. He also disappeared after taking money from the producers. Farhana believes that if she had not shown wisdom at that time, the situation could have been more dangerous.

Nana’s death changed my whole life

According to Farhana, her maternal grandfather was her biggest support. After his death, for the first time he realized that now he would have to fight his own battle. He said that at that time he felt as if he had been made to stand alone in a big field. This proved to be the biggest turning point in his life.

Farhana was the runner-up in Bigg Boss 19, while Gaurav Khanna was the winner.

Before Bigg Boss no one even gave clothes

Farhana told that before going to Bigg Boss, she did not have many social media followers. For this reason many designers and brands did not want to associate with him. Some people said that they should stay in the show for the first one or two weeks and then they will give them clothes.

After the show the same people started offering lakhs of rupees

Farhana told that after coming out of Bigg Boss, the same designers and brands became eager to work with her. Some brands were ready to give up to Rs 2 lakh for three outfits. However, he clearly told his team that there is no need to work with those people who did not support them in difficult times.

Farhana says that till date she has not called any casting director and asked whether she was selected or not. He believes that after giving the audition, it should be forgotten. If that work is in your destiny, it will come to you.

Farhana told that she had auditioned for Singam Again four months ago and then had forgotten that she had given the test for it. Later he got the film. She says that instead of having excessive expectations, a person should keep his mind balanced.

Biggest dream- to give mother the life she deserves

Farhana says that her dream is not just to earn money or become a star. She wants to give her mother the life she deserves. He says that his mother struggled a lot in his childhood and lost many happiness. Now she wants her mother to achieve all the happiness in the world that she had dreamed of.

Farhana believes that when you break the old thinking of family and society and choose a new path, then your own people are the first to raise questions. But if the intention is clear, then one should maintain confidence in oneself, because ultimately only that confidence takes one to the destination.

Farhana says- There is both excitement and fear about this show. This is a lifetime experience, because such stunts cannot be done in real life. It is a big thing to do all this with a legend like Rohit Shetty and amidst complete safety. I want to explore a new part of my personality through this show. In this, the real competition is not with other contestants, but with one’s own fear.

Even today I am afraid of many things. The only difference is that now perhaps I will get a chance to see those fears closely. Life runs so fast that a person is not able to stop and stand in front of his fear, but now maybe he will get a chance to look at the fear so closely that it goes away.
