Actually, PM Modi left for India late Thursday night to complete his 6-day tour of France and Slovakia. During this period he also attended the G7 Summit. Here the PM met US President Donald Trump. Trump praised Modi a lot.

June 17: PM attends G7 summit, meets Trump
Modi had attended the 52nd G7 summit held in Evian city of France. He had an 18-minute bilateral conversation with US President Donald Trump.
Trump has promised that if India is ever attacked during Modi’s tenure, America will stand together to help. I will have to think if there is any other leader in India other than Modi.

What is G7, which countries are in it?
G7 i.e. ‘Group of Seven’, is a group of 7 countries of the world, which are called ‘modern economy’ countries of the world. These include America, France, Britain, Japan, Italy, Canada and Germany.
It debuted in 1975 as the G6. It became the G7 after Canada joined in 1976. In 1998, Russia was included and renamed G8, but in 2014 it was expelled from the group after Russia’s annexation of Ukraine’s Crimea region. After this it again started being called G7.
