Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned. Cockroach Janata Party has been protesting at Jantar Mantar for the last 36 days demanding his resignation in the NEET paper leak case.
After the resignation, BBC wrote that the Modi government had to bow down before the students. The Guardian wrote that for the first time in the 12 years of the Modi government, a minister resigned under public pressure.
Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation has also been given a place in the top stories by many international media organizations including New York Times, CNN, Al Jazeera and Dawn.

Since coming to power in 2014, Prime Minister Modi’s government has generally taken a tough stance towards protests and has rarely succumbed to any major movement.
