Indian spinner Piyush Chawla has retired from all formats of cricket. The 36-year-old bowler wrote in the Insta post on Friday- ‘After being on the field for more than two decades, now the time has come to say goodbye to this beautiful game.’
Piyush Chawla has been part of the Indian team that won the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI World Cup in 2011. He has also won 2 titles of IPL on behalf of Kolkata Knight Riders. Chawla has played 3 Tests, 25 ODIs and 7 T20 International matches for India. He took a total of 43 wickets.
Piyush Chawla wrote-
From representing India at the top level to becoming a part of the 2007 T20 World Cup and the 2011 ODI World Cup winning team, every moment has not been less than a boon in this incredible journey. These memories will always remain in my heart.

Chawla’s career in IPL was very successful. He won the title twice in 2012 and 2014 with Kolkata Knight Riders. He took a total of 192 wickets in the IPL. He is currently the third highest wicket -taking bowler in IPL history. In this list, he is standing with Sunil Narayan.
